This MILWAUKEE 49-24-0165 Heavy Duty Work Light is powered by the Milwaukee 18 Volt V18 Lithium-Ion battery model# 48-11-1830 (sold separately) or 18 Volt NiCd battery model# 48-11-2230 (sold separately). It DOES NOT WORK WITH the M18 battery model# 48-11-1828 or 48-11-1815.

The MILWAUKEE 49-24-0165 heavy duty 18 volt work light is made with reinforced nylon housing and bezel to withstand rough handling. The high output Xenon bulb produces extremely bright, uniform light.

Clip Lok System ready (optional accessory Milwaukee 42-70-5005 Clip Lok sold separately), the MILWAUKEE 49-24-0165 Heavy Duty Work Light conveniently clips to your belt for hands-free transportation. A faceted reflector offers a bright uniform beam and the head pivots 140°. The work light also features a recessed on/off switch to prevent from being accidentally turned on/off.


(ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN 2008) The Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation produced two generations of 18-volt cordless power tools based on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. The first was named V18 (introduced in 2006), and was compatible with earlier battery systems. The M18 series (introduced in 2008) represented a complete break with the earlier series, redesigned and using a new battery system.

THE M18 SERIES TOOLS ARE NO LONGER BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE WITH THE OLDER NICKEL-CADMIUM SYSTEMS OR THE FIRST GENERATION LITHIUM-ION V18 SYSTEM, allowing the tools themselves to be redesigned and balanced with strictly lithium-ion power packs. Notably, the M18 series includes a frameless motor that can produce the same amount of power as a larger, traditional electric motor. The Milwaukee calls this lithium-ion battery system used in the M series the 18V XC High Capacity.

(Introduced in 2006) Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation introduces another breakthrough in Lithium-Ion technology for the cordless power tool market – the V18 system, a new line of power tools and 18 volt batteries that can provide a Li-Ion power upgrade to existing Milwaukee 18 volt Ni-Cd tools.

In addition to a full line of 18V Li-Ion tools that deliver the same performance and fade-free power Milwaukee customers have come to expect from V technology, including up to 50% longer runtime vs. Ni-Cad, the V18 system includes a battery and charger that is compatible with all current Milwaukee 18 volt tools. By placing a V18 battery on their current 18 volt tools, tradesmen are able to get an immediate performance boost without investing in an entirely new platform.

The Milwaukee Tool Warranty

Every MILWAUKEE product is warranted to the original purchaser only to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Subject to certain exceptions, MILWAUKEE will repair or replace any part on a product which, after examination, is determined by MILWAUKEE to be defective in material or workmanship for a period of five (5) years* (1) year for factory reconditioned after the date of purchase. Return the product and a copy of proof of purchase to a MILWAUKEE factory Service Center location or MILWAUKEE Authorized Service Station, freight prepaid and insured. This warranty does not apply to damage that MILWAUKEE determines to be from repairs made or attempted by anyone other than MILWAUKEE authorized personnel, misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidents.

*Every MILWAUKEE V™-technology LITHIUM-ION Battery Pack and XC LITHIUM-ION Battery Pack is warranted for five (5) years / 2000 charges from the date of purchase, whichever first occurs. The first 1000 charges or 2 years of the warranty, whichever first occurs, are covered through free replacement of the defective battery. This means that for the earlier of the first 1000 charges or two (2) years from the date of purchase/first charge, a replacement battery will be provided to the customer for any defective battery free of charge. Thereafter, the remaining charges up to a total of 2000 or the remainder of the five (5) year period from the date of purchase, whichever first occurs, will be covered on a pro rata basis. This means that every customer gets an additional 1000 charges or three (3) years of pro rata warranty on the V™-technology LITHIUM-ION Battery Pack and XC LITHIUM-ION Battery Pack depending upon the amount of use.

*The warranty period for ALL non V™-technology and non XC LITHIUM-ION battery packs is two (2) years from the date of purchase.

*The warranty period for Portable Generators is two (2) years from the date of purchase.

*The warranty period for all Ni-CD Battery Packs, Work Lights (cordless flashlights), Job Site Radios, Trade Titan™ Industrial Work Carts and Hoists (lever, hand chain, & electric chain hoists) is one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Warranty Registration is not necessary to obtain the applicable warranty on a MILWAUKEE product. The manufacturing date of the product will be used to determine the warranty period if no proof of purchase is provided at the time warranty service is requested.

Normal Wear: air nailers – staplers, like all power tools, these products need periodic parts replacement and service to achieve best performance. This warranty does not cover repair when normal use has exhausted the life of a part including, but not limited to, o-rings, seals, bumpers and driver blades.

MILWAUKEE does not cover freight or labor charges associated with the inspection and testing of portable generators or hoists (lever, hand chain & electric chain hoists) that are found by MILWAUKEE not to be a valid warranty claim. A valid warranty claim must be substantiated by the discovery of defective material or workmanship by MILWAUKEE.

*Gasoline Engine - Warranty: The gasoline engine on a portable generator is separately warranted by the engine manufacturer and is serviced through the engine manufacturer’s authorized service center network. MILWAUKEE is not authorized and has no responsibility for warranty service of any nature whatsoever for a gasoline engine. If requested, MILWAUKEE will help you locate your nearest service facility for a gasoline engine.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE EXCLUSIVE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT REMEDIES DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A CONDITION OF THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF EVERY MILWAUKEE PRODUCT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS CONDITION, YOU SHOULD NOT PURCHASE THE PRODUCT.
